SFIA 3: Definition

The day-to-day support, operation and control of all equipment within an IT network infrastructure. Includes data backup and restore, production of network performance statistics, provision of network diagnostic information and site surveys.

Proposed for SFIA 4.0:

The day-to-day operation and control of all equipment within wide and local area network infrastructure. Includes data backup and restore, production of network performance statistics, provision of network diagnostic information and site surveys

While Skill levels 5&6 explicitly mention 'wide area' networks, the inference from the definition is that this section is dealing with local, inter-site, networks. Therefore, I suggest the "(wide and local area)" is added before 'network' in the defintion to stress the full extent of netwrok control & operation.
