SFIA 3: Definition
The creation of training materials for use by teachers or students covering any subject within the scope of SFIA.
Proposed for SFIA 4.0:
The creation, packaging and maintenance of materials for use in education, training, journalism, consulting or otherwise. Typically involves the assimilation of information from existing sources, selection and re-presentation in a form suitable to the intended purpose and audience.

Proposal (from the Information Mgt Group) to amend the title of "Training materials creation and maintenance" to simply "Content creation and maintenance", and to modify the definition to "The creation and maintenance of materials (whether called education, training, journalism, consulting or otherwise) for use by any person. This usually involves the assimilation of information from existing sources, selection and its re-presentation in a form suitable to the intended purpose and audience."

Suggest amend title to read 'Development, design and Maintenance of training resources'. Content is too vague, given this is the Education & Training section.

I propose an alternative definition as follows: "The development of IT training and education packakes, including the design and maintenance of course/training content and materials.
